So I have the drivers, what do I do with them when I start my system?

Yes, install Windows, then install the drivers, making sure that the drivers are for the right version of WIndows that you have installed. Preferably install the drivers after updating Windows all the way through.

I have downloaded all of the drivers for the motherboard and the graphics card for my new system onto a USB so that when I boot it for the first time the resolution wont be all wonky and distorted. How are they meant to install? Do I install windows first and then the drivers or the other way around?

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

Install Windows then the drivers but if you want, during the install, Windows will let you preinstall drivers IIRC for Windows 7. I don't know if that's the same for Windows 8.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Which means checking the update window for the upteenth time.
