just how much performence gain do you get when OC?

just how much difference if you was to buy and air cool a 780ti at stocks or OC a 780 watercooling?

in terms of rendering performance.

oh, and like stock/OC- ing it for continues hours, 5-2- hours

which is more safe water cool + OC

or stock + air?

If we just talk about a 780 + watercooling or a stock 780ti then the 780ti will be the better option (especially if they cost the same). Also the only way that you can get a really good OC on Nvidia is with a custom BIOS anyway.

not necessarily I overclocked my 680 like mad before I started editing the bios to keep it like this 24/7 the memory alone is overclocked from 6000 Mhz to 7400 Mhz and can go a little more if I feel like it.

Stock clock is always the safest. When u OC u increase heat and heat reduces lifespam. But if u have money to buy 780ti and put water block on it you will have no problem in few years to upgrade and your 780ti will still be working. So if u can afford it, go ahead and OC :)
