So I was looking at Z97 Itx motherboards and came across the MSI Z97i gaming motherboard which apparently supports up to 32gb RAM?? How is this possible?

Some manufacturers list 64GB support for motherboards too. These mystical 16GB DDR3 DIMMS :P

But yes- "mistake".

Also says it supports sli/crossfire..

Dual GPU cards are in theory X-Fire, that's why some manufacturers can say "Supports 4 way X-fire" with two phyiscal x16 slots :P

It's a thing that the chipset supports or something like that...

I guess dual gpu cards ceased to exist.

the chipset supports 32GB but given that the iTX board only has 2 RAM slots

so it limited to 16GB
