So I bought a H60 and I used it for about a month before I looked at my idle temperatures. They were high for idle temperatures so I had a wee peek at the contact and only about 20% of the previous applied paste was in contact. The like the double stand offs were bent a little and that's why it wouldnt go flush. Long story short got a new H60 give my friend my old one as he can use the old amd standoffs. Again I checked this one again and this time the standoffs were still bent but this time 40% was in contacts.

What should I do? as corsair customer service takes a long time to get anything done.

Does anyone else have this problem with the H60 or any other corsair watercolours?

You must have either a h60, or a h80i

have you installed the H60 on a diagonal pattern? You can't tight the screws all on one shot, to have the block seat correctly you should tighten them a bit, one by one and repeat until it's well mounted.

Screwing it too much, or too strong is also bad, make a secure mount, don't go crazy on it.

MY H60 idles around 40-50c on my Athlon X4 750k. I can't tell if it's because of the way my tubes are oriented or what, but I bought this because my temps on my air cooler were less than ideal and my motherboard has very limited compatibillity with coolers that won't block the PCI-e slot.

tbh I've had nothing but bad luck with coolers, so I'm starting to think my cpu is just bad at moving heat to the heatspreader.

why do so many good cases only come in black and white

I fitted it in the pattern you described, but what do you mean it can be fitted to tight?

A very tight fight, not only stresses the motherboard, but it also means the block is way too tight, trying to scape the screws and possibly being more stretched on one corner than on the others, failing to make proper contact.

I would put a bit extra thermal paste on it, a bit of contact is better than no contact at all. I had to do this with my H100i.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

So tight it in to much causes it to lose contact with the cpu somehow? What if they're all really tight? How do I know how tight it should be?

Firmly hand tight, and that's it.

If it's really tight, and slightly more one on one side that another (even a quarter twist more), it'd be diagonally mounted actually, not good for contact.

Just make it even on all sides, and apply small spins on a diagonal pattern, just like you would on an tower air cooler.

so no screw driver to tighten it?

You just need it hand tight, so it doesn't apply any stress to both the CPU and motherboard and get the best contact.

No need for a screw driver, unless that is the only way you can mount the cooler, which, in your case, it isn't.
