Top 5 gaming laptops under 1000$? [2/5]

Cacao

Hello, I'm currently scouting out for the top 5 gaming laptops under 1000 USD (they will be used in a youtube video). I currently have 2 laptops on my list, hopefully I can get some help finding the other 3.

These are the 2 I have already:

Acer Aspire V3-772G-5413 800$
51P9beQ3MqL.jpg
Intel Core i5-4210M 2.6 GHz Processor (3MB Cache)
8 GB DDR3L SDRAM
1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
17.3-Inch Screen, GTX 850M
Windows 8.1, 3.5-hour battery life

-------------

Lenovo Y50 15.6-Inch Laptop (59418222) Black 980$
4f4b3102deeea9c5a931010301b102d9.png

Intel Core i5-4200H 2.8 GHz Processor
8 GB DDR3 RAM
1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive, 8 GB Solid-State Drive
15.6-Inch Screen, GTX 860M
Windows 8.1, 4-hour battery life

Does anyone have any suggestions? I pretty much only have 2 requirements for the laptops:
-Must be UNDER 1000 USD (So no 1050$, 1100$ etc. nothing more than 999.99$)
-Must have a GTX 850M or better (there are LOADS of laptops in this price range with GT 840M)

Thanks :)

Lenovo y40/y510p, maybe? Are you trying to stick with laptops that are the most recent version of their model? (aka 800 series GPUs isntead of 700 series)

I was considering the Y510p, but it's performance is pretty much on par with the Y50 I posted above, only you won't have to deal with SLI issues, so I decided to leave it out. Can you link me to a specific Y40? I haven't really looked into that one yet, does it have performance on par with the GTX 850M?

Eh, it's hard to track down benchmarks on the R9 M275, but from what I can tell, it does seem a good deal weaker than the 850M. Plus, the CPU is a fairly weak dual-core i7. I've only ever seen it suggested when a person's budget absolutely can't fit in the y50.

Anyway, here's an option for your list:

Sager NP7358 - http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np7358-clevo-w350ss-p-6991.html

860M for $999...BUT that's only because this particular reseller doesn't sell it with an OS. Adding ~$85 or so will put it over your limit. If that's a tad dishonest for your list, there's the Sager NP6658(comes with a 850M) that is $999 with a copy of Windows:

You should be able to find these for less than a thousand dollars. http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N550JV/specifications/

Thanks, but that falls quite a bit short compared to the others I'm looking at. It looks like it'll end up being a top 3 :P

Lenovo Y50, Acer Aspire V3-772G-5413 and SAGER NP7358.

Is it because of the 750m? I can still game on my retina Macbook Pro on a 650m.

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

Yes, that and the 1366x768 display. Also it's just over 1000$. It just doesn't make sense when you can get laptops with a GTX 860M for a lower price.

I found it on XOTIC PC for 939, by the way I found a laptop on there with the mobile version of the 290x for 1066. http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gx60-3be240us-limited-availability-p-6157.html
