280x?

not much of a contest.

no need for benchmarks, you can take my word for it. If anyone tells you that's wrong tell them helping told you so and has enough authority to make this claim.

I'd go for the Sapphire one though. MSI messed up somewhat with the latest AMD cards (79xx and r9 280(x)/290(x)).

It's not even close. The R9 280X is in a higher tier altogether. In terms of performance, R9 280X = GTX 770. Get the R9 280X. Go Sapphire if you want lower temps and get MSI if you want a more quiet cooler, but both are pretty cool cards.

The GTX 760 can be compared to the R9 280 and 270X. The R9 280 has the same price has the GTX 760, but is noticeably faster. The R9 270X is noticeably cheaper than the GTX 760, but almost as fast.

Please don't use that site, why? now put GTX 770 vs R9 280X and enjoy the bias

8.5 vs 8.9? I don't get it.

Those GPUs are about similar performance

Good point. Anyways. I didn't really like the website either, but the numbers I posted at first were about right and I just wanted to show OP.

the 280x is basically the HD7970 rebranded

the price is so close between the HD7950 and 280X

I will just spend more to get the 280X
