Would you like to see...

flibberdipper

...some gameplay videos from me (with my really limited library)? The one I will do the most will probably be Battlefield 3, possibly followed by Team Fortress 2. I hope to get some other games (Saints Row 3/4, Far Cry 3, and GTA IV) for my birthday or Christmas. And keep in mind I'm not the best at some games.

I don't know if it's your intention, but when I read this all I could think about was "channel advertising", I'm not sure if I like this.

But to contibrute and not just "h8 m8", I voted no, unless you have something new you can present to us. There are more than enough people who post gameplay honestly. Not that you shouldn't do it, I probably just wouldn't watch it.

Not sure on commentary, and GTA SA MP is one of the things that would be harder to do.

Will you be playing the games on the 'Helios' potato?

Nope. Just a Z97 potato.

I would love to see some videos from you. Please do a minecraft LP on your Helios system though.

I'm still a little sleepy, but what do you mean by Minecraft LP?

And HELIOS doesn't even like playing MP3's, it hates GTA 3 for christ's sake.

I'm not advertising (trust me), I just want to know if people are interested in this, since I don't want to spend time doing them, only to have 10 people watch them at the most.

There might also be some demos of the (admittedly terrible) games that I'm trying to make.

Aww, thanks. :)

Sempron is no more. i5 is the future.

Damn close... PM me for some more details if you are interested (add Askew in if he wants).

Does this mean the DC pentium is upon us?

Sadly, no.

You know, that actually sounds interesting to me. Just like Vlambeer, who stream most of the development of their new game Nuclear Throne, I'd sorta like to see a series showing the development of a small game or something.

Just some thoughts :P

LP = Let's play. And did you get a new system or something? I thought you were rocking a Dell and a Sempron 145. Not a Z97 system. Although I did remember you posting something about that..

Oh. Duhhhh... I'm supposed to be receiving the parts to a new one by August (thanks to some nice gents that will be thanked a lot). Still using the Dell, but the motherboard the Sempron was in died.

As long as it's 720p or higher.

That will not be an issue this time (1080p sound good?). :D

Are you thinking kind of like a "build log" of the game (where you show the final products after each update you do)?

I guess so, like the alpha updates on Prison Architect on youtube, the changes you made and maybe the thoughts behind them.

But since I know next to nothing about programming, I'm not that interested in the technical stuff. Others might be.

Like I said, not sure on the commentary bit. I will consider it though.

Damn, and here I was salivating for some voodoo 3 action...

I'm not ruling it out. I'll just have to get a way to capture the VGA output from it and have the video file to to an external hard drive.

Ah. You should frame that Sempron! Will you be doing a build log?

I put the Sempron back in the box, but it is on display. As much as I hate the board, it is "hung" on my wall with some velcro.

It takes me forever to do simple operations now, since I got out of it for a year or two. I will look into that.
