While it has the physical slots required to fit two graphics cards, this motherboard can only support Crossfire because SLI requires a minimum of 8X speed on any of its PCIe slots, whereas Crossfire only requires 4X minimum. This motherboard has a full length 16X slot and a full length 4X slot

but crossfire, but It has 2 gpu slots, so it actually must have sli support

Uhh, it doesn't, so it won't work. AMD doesn't give one about motherboard makers so as long as it has the slots crossfire will work. Nvidia on the other hand requires a certification and some specific features before they'll allow a board to have SLI support. If it doesn't have the SLI sticker it ain't happening.

That's not how things work. I wouldn't even be surprised if there's mobos out there with 3 or more PCIe 16x slots and have no Crossfire or SLI support. Why? I don't know, maybe companies like adding stupid features to scam you. There are certain cases where people don't CF or SLI their GPUs and have a dedicated gaming GPU alongside a dedicated mining, workstation, PhysX, or whatever PCIe 16x slot thing can be added.

I like Nvidia more but their middle range GPUs are dieing, so Crossfire with two r7 260x's would be nice too, although it doesnt make much sense, but it would be possible right.

Do you need a ,,crossfire cable'' for the AMD gpus too?

yes is possible to CF 260X, no need for the bridge

but seriously a 280 will dump on the dual 260X

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
