Your Citizen?

I tried to search the forum for a similar thread but I honestly could not find it. If you do know of one, please post it!

 

Anyways, have you thought about your Citizen and how he, or she, will come into being? Do you have any background history for your Citizen or maybe even for your Citizen's family? Is he an outlaw, soldier or just a smuggler? Or are you waiting for PU or character creation to be implemented before you decide to dig into your Citizen's life?

 

Please discuss!

Eh I thought I'd play Star Citizen but not likely now.  Based off how much time I put into another mmorpg I paid a decent amount of money for, WildStar, eh I can't see me getting this game.  So far in WildStar I only played it one day and put in less than 10 hrs.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

The only RP I do is with the missus in the bedroom... And occasional when @LukaP abuses me in the chat.

I go online to be me not to play some character I wish I was, all I can say is I know my character will be female and if we have this 3 lives permadeath, I'll be on my 20 character by the end of the 1st week

Eh I thought I'd play Star Citizen but not likely now.  Based off how much time I put into another mmorpg I paid a decent amount of money for, WildStar, eh I can't see me getting this game.  So far in WildStar I only played it one day and put in less than 10 hrs.

You actually enjoy that thing? i had trouble finding anything interesting in it so i finally gave up.
well maybe the semi end game stuff with the Fort vs fort with captured bosses. but i dont want to suffer my arse all the way till then.

i wrote a quick backstory on my citizen in my RSI profile for fun.  I dont think i will hard core roll play but it could be fun ive never really RPed in a game before.

I would judge another game by the disappointments (or the like) of another game but okay. If you ever change your mind and have character information or even discussion, the thread will be here. :)

 

Haven't thought much about it.

 

I'm a bit crazy, and stuff, so yeah. But I'm hoping to be able to retire him and a few other quickish, so I can just have a collection of old me's wandering around my hangar

 

Eventually those old yous will die of age. You need some youth in there! B)

I don't actually mean just "RP" with that character. It could also mean just basic information about your character. Why he's a smuggler or something. It doesn't necessarily mean your RP in the sense of actually acting like the character or anything. :)

I've never RP'd in a game either, but it would be fun to answer someone if they ask why I'm a smuggler/pirate/soldier and tell them why my character hates the Empire etc etc. :D

i guess ill share mine its a work in progress.

 

TheDomsawww an inspiring pirate who came from privileged birth. His father TheBonesawww was a ruthless mercenary who had a reputation of doing the impossible. After demanding too high of wages several prominent merchant groups put a price on his head. Every bounty hunter wanted his head and staged a false mission to lure him into a trap. All were killed by TheBonesawww but not before his ship was disabled. He was last seen drifting in to deep space. Fueled by hatred for the Mercs. and the merchant men who betrayed his father TheDomsawww swore revenge. What better way to seek revenge than as a pirate praying on merchants ships and factories. Killing or capturing all who stand in his way. Known for his boldness and daring tactics TheDomsawww instills fear in every merchant and every escort in the Verse. "TheDomsawww Is Reaaaadyyyyyy!!!!"

There should be a few genuine female characters, I've always picked female because they used to be more agile in games then male characters and it seems weird to have a "perfect buff" version of yourself, or that's they way I see it.

If VOIP is as important in game as they say your gonna have a lot of females with guys voices.

Oh, a backstory I'll think about that. I usually do play around with thoughts during gameplay.

That's how I plan to do it as well. I have to get the feel of the gameplay and character creation before I get into it. ^_^
