Dell M5110 Brightness Issues

My sister is having a problem with her laptop. every time she plugs it in, the screen decides that it wants to get so dim you can't read it.

It's only when she plugs it in.

so any ideas?

Change the power plan settings under 'more power options' in the battery icon/window in the bottom right (and maybe take it out of power saver). Or just adjust the brightness, normally it saves the last setting you used.

it does not immediately dim, it slowly fades until black, over about 30 seconds.
