4770K or 4790K?

I am able to get the 4770K at MicroCenter for $260 and the 4790K for $280. Which should I get?

4790k if you can afford it. Z97 and better overclocking/stock speeds

4790K also it will work in a Z87 board if you already have one but if your just gaming go for a i5.

You may as well get a 4790K. They are higher clocked, higher binned and are expected to be better overclockers.

And SwiftKey wanted me to say over clickers instead of overclockers.

4690k for gaming

For only an extra $20, definitely get the 4790K. But like others said, if you're just gaming then get a 4690K/4670K.

'I just got my 4790K (look at my profile for full spec).

Asus Dual Intelligent Processors 5 OC'd it to 4.6Ghz automatically which I think is the same as a 4770K. I haven't tried to do it manually yet but judging by my experience and reviews...well, it really is just a 4770K with better thermal paste (My temps are Idle 35, max 80 deg. C).'
