Modest Mechanical Keyboard

Sundanc3

What is a modest looking mechanical keyboard that is not gamer gaudy that also has dedicated media keys? I've been looking around and can't seem to find one. Thanks

Modest, cheap, all Cherry MX but no media keys is my board.

QPad MK50, I've been using this board for about a year, it's solid built and I really like the way it looks.

The K95 is rather plain.

Surely you'd get a black K70 then, without all these extra keys.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Take a look at the Das Keyboard 4. IMO the Ultimate is smexy as hell, and I love the look of the volume knob.

Edit: actually never mind, I missed out the dedicated media keys part

Das Keyboard make some simple looking keyboard, which to my knowledge have dedicated media keys.

Might also want to check out Leopold, I'm pretty sure they have media keys, and they are very "basic". Awesomely built, but no lights or weird "gamer" fonts, which my Quickfire TK suffers from.

K70 or Das Keyboard 4 get my vote :)

If you can live without media keys and numberpad, Leopold 660C or Leopold FC700R look very professional. No extra bling.

ps: the FC700R doesn't have dedicated media keys but does have Fn + Fkeys options.

stock key caps are gamer style.

Not really, I don't see that, the overall design of the keyboard is simple.

Eww, ugly red accents, the metal on the dial should be silver, imo.

Duck Shine 3 ftw.

This is definitely the keyboard I want. It's elegant and the volume knob is something I need in my life. I just wish it didn't cost a fortune  :( Is there maybe a non-mechanical keyboard that is still elegant and sleek? Since I've been living w/o mechanical this long

Yeah I know. It's actually not bad though. The feeling is different compared to a keyboard with a backplate.

yeah, they flex more and are just overall less sturdy and sustaining(is that a word?), because they are using an exposed PCB where your fingers are and your dead skin cells will stay.

I've got a Filco Majestouch 2. It lacks media keys sadly, but comes with a wide range of switch types, and you'd be forgiven for thinking it a standard office keyboard if just looking at it.

logitech g710+  mechanical, doesnt look rediculous, dedicated media keys, small handfull of programable g keys. and a nice plain white backlight with adjustable brightness.
