I wonder if EA sucks...

CPU: Intel i5-2320 @ 3.9gHz

GPU: MSI GTX 670 PE @ 1411/7387

I don't have any personal issues with them.  Although I don't really follow them much.

 

Their software has bugs and questionable busniess strategies, but I don't know much beyond that.

They only suck because of all the crap they add to games i.e DRM

I think they're mostly suffering from faceless corporation syndrome at the moment.

 

Because they're so big and they are expected to release updates to their titles all the time there are going to be mistakes and there are going to be layoffs and closures if studios they own don't make the cut.

 

That's just the nature of big business. 

 

No one gets to the top of the food chain by being fuzzy and lovable... Except polar bears, but they'll still eat your face.

Last EA game I purchased was Medal Of Honor 2011 and it's been alright. Multiplayer matchmaking never worked properly..

They ruined possibly my favourite franchise, C&C. I've tolerated their existence ever since.

Online DRM and Microtransactions.
I used to absolutely love EA, and I think most gamers here will agree with that, EA used to be great, bringing gamers what they wanted. The first time they let me down was Spore with its DRM. And its been a sliding scope since then.

they dont spend more time on testing games ,they push broken stuff out. and they milk games franchises.... other than that i like ea games

I think its strange that its taken so long for people to actually start realizing that they suck. What first alerted me was when they shifted from "Electronic Arts" To "EA, Its in the game".

Then EA just kept falling and getting worse and worse, Then they got a hold of the Mercenaries IP, one of my most loved games of all time, and they completely ruined the game with Mercenaries 2. I cannot forgive them for ruining Mercenaries. Ever.

They ruined the Mercenaries IP and changed their game intro from "Electronic Arts" in a sexy robot lady voice with techno graphics to "EA, Its in the game".

I haven't had any problems with EA. I have enjoyed SimCity 5. Looking forward to BF4.
