PLS is Samsung's little version of IPS which means it'll probably be more expensive then their 4k TN panels.

These are COMMERCIAL monitors. Meaning they are designed to operate 24/7 turned on, under higher heat expected, and perhaps other conditions depending on the type of commercial monitor it is. It will cost a lot more for this.

MOST of them are commercial monitors, IE the 55-85 inch models . IF you read more into it they will just happening to show off the DP970 which is a NON commercial monitor.  Its professional monitor  so yes expensive but not commercial crazy expensive. these people from microsoft so close minded

What does Microsoft have to do with anything related to this?! Please stay on topic. I would suggest to make a separate thread.

Anyway, on topic, I read the PR from Samsung, it is considered to be a commercial monitor.

Who's Mr. Microsoft? OOOHHH, you are assuming I work at Microsoft. LOL! Hello! GoodBytes is slow today! :)

No, I don't.

I am student, near graduating, at university, work part time at a plane simulator company.

I was looking at the posted link, which is a copy and paste of Samsung Press Release. If the monitor is not a commercial monitor, than Samsung isn't explaining themself properly.

yea maybe u should research before u say stuff also its because of how expensive manufacturing is! i would happilly put down $3000 for a 24" 4k oled monitor i know it will probably be more than that tho.

More investment in 4K is better, the overall price will come down as 4K becomes common across the market.

Although I wish 2.5K monitor prices would drop just a little more, it seems like a much more practical upgrade than a 4K display.

I really like my 27" 1440p panel. Any larger than that is a bit too big for me.

And here I am still running 1680*1050... Hopefully when I buy a new monitor it will be an ips 4k monitor, hopefully prices will be lower when/if I buy one. I'm not planning on buying a new monitor for at least a year. Same monitor since 07 or 08

My profile pic is the game i'm currently playing. I hope i remember to change it..
