is it all about GHZ? no.

should you upgrade your CPU? no.

BUT you can overclock that cpu to 4.2ghz if i remember right (but that might be an issue with that h55)

No, it isn't always about dem jiggahertz.

Upgraded that GPU first. (you have the PSU for SLI/cfx GPU's if you wanted too.)
Just wait for Broadwell-E or later.

Thanks for the advice guys  :)

I will most likely invest in a new GPU and some new cooling.

Any suggestions?

The Cooler Master Eisberg 240L should cool your CPU well.

Depending on what case you have you could also go with other options

who cares...

No, it is not all about the GHz. Hence why AMD chips are clocked higher and still cannot compete on the same level as Intel. If you already have a good CPU, then yes it is all about the gigglehurts. Tho in your case, there is no reason to replace your CPU. The i7-3820 shouldn't hold you back from doing anything. It is a solid and strong CPU, save your money and put it towards what comes down the road in the next 6-12 months. GTX 800 is on its way and so is x99.

That doesnt make sense.

But anyway its a good question you asked that, the clock does matter when it comes to speed when comparing the same microarchitecture BUT when it comes to comparing to different microarchitecture such as comparing Sandy bridge and Haswell it does not matter. For example a sandy chip at 1GHz and a Haswell chip at 1GHz should perform differently (they do).
