Durzy

I have no idea why I am using a 32 inch vizio m series smart tv as a computer monitor. Several days ago I plugged in my old 24 inch dell tn thing and I was blown away with how clear the text was(colors were still bad tho)

I have decided to give my smart tv to my step dad where it will be used for what it was made.

I am now looking for a $500 or less monitor but I have no idea where to go from a 32 inch 1080p. 24in. seems really small. the ultra wide monitors seem really cool but idk about watching youtube on it. 1440p seems really nice but i have a gtx 460 :/ and then there are all these monitors with cool tilt and pivot features which I really like(i mean like what if you get a different desk it would be so useful)!

I use a monitor for a lot of things! photo editing, gaming, movie watching, and just plain old document viewing, internet viewing, word processing goodness!

If you could please help me pick an excellent all-rounder(with explanations for resolutions) I would be very grateful and maybe cry a little :')

thank you so much!

Go simple.

Two 27" screens. Don't need to go fancy with 1440 or ultra wide. I've got those things and I end up at my desk with 3 27" screens (1440 though) and it's enjoyable.

27" or 32" screen, choose which you like best.

1440p because you will need it to read text clearly at that size, and you can still play games at 1080p on it because it is the same aspect ratio (16:9)

Then when you upgrade your graphics card you can play at 1440p :) more future proof

Also IPS because colours are wonderful!

Then choose it from ASUS or BENQ (or sometimes DELL/samsung) because they make the best quality monitors.
