I'm recently saving up to build a new computer. Once the computer is done what sort of virus malware do you think I should use. Which one would work best. My PC I'm using is mostly going to be for games and stuff but sometimes I would use it to go on YouTube or Facebook so I need virus protection what should I do

I don't think it is of your best interest to use virus/malware on your computer...

None sir, I will exploit those words for my own amusement.

On a serious note, Malwarebytes is good software, but you don't need to worry about getting malware/viruses from Facebook or Youtube, those are safe sites and do not host malicious material. (except some drivel about farming games may be on facebook)

avast free anti virus

what i think u should do is after u first install the OS and install all the software u want

make an image (ISO) backup  - windows has a free tool built in

once u do that  if something really bad happens and i cant get rid of the issue

u will have an image ready and u can get back to work in minutes

If your grave doesn't say "rest in peace" on it You are automatically drafted into the skeleton war.

why not

Because using viruses and malware will usually break your computer or make very bad things happen. What you want to use is ANTI-virus or malware protection.

I would say that it depends on your browsing habits. If you just visit well known "safe" websites such as the ones you mentioned, you will almost certainly never encounter malware, but I guess it's always good to have something just in case...

Anyway, here's what I use... I run Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) it's a nice, simple, lightweight piece of software... It might not catch absolutely everything but it's good enough for people like me who are careful online. Occasionally I also scan my system using Malwarebytes (MBAM) which is more powerful tool and it's really good at finding things.

I've also heard that Avast is good too but I have never used it myself, so I can't comment on that. If you at any point suspect you have malware in your system another great tool you can run (apart from MBAM) is spybot search and destroy.

That's all I know about anti-malware. I'm not an expert or anything but I found these solutions to work pretty well not just with me but when helping other too. I do tend to be quite careful when it comes to these things, that's probably why I hardly ever encountered any problems myself. The best cure is prevention I guess.
