Tips to keep IEMs/Earbuds in your ear

fixME

I have gathered a few pairs of Earbuds over the years that have come with my iPods or phones. The problem for me is that they do not stay in.  My ears aren't deformed, too big, or too small, but regardless these things still don't stay in my ear.

My friend lent me different sizes of rubber tips but none of them made a difference.

So is there a special kind of tip that would help keep the headphones from falling out?

Thanks

Some earbuds don't fit some ear. Find other tips, or maybe other earbuds for that matter. I have Sennheiser CX-300 II's and they come with 3 sizes, each of which fit differently. I know people that can't stand IEMs at all either, maybe you're one of those.

Luke actually uses the sprng clip all the time when he runs.

Comply tips stay in better than stock silicone tips

I find wrapping the wires over my ears even on earphones that aren't designed to be worn that way helps a lot.

What you can also do is check out "Decibullz" custom ear-moulds, double check and see if your IEM is eligible to be used with one, they cost like $15.

What you do is pop it in hot water, put it in the microwave for a little bit, take it out, stick it inside your ear and mould it to your ear.  Then when it hardens, you stick your IEM inside it, and wallah.

For a second there, I thought it's molded into the ear canal, and I thought, dayum, for $15 I can turn my regular IEMs into those custom fit IEMs.....too good to be true....

It's kinda what it is, but a little bit more ghetto! lol   Apparently they're actually quite good, I was gonna get some to try, but I ordered my LCD-2's yesterday so I don't have to use my crappy IEM's anymore lol

Maybe later down the road I'll get some to test it, but it'll have to be later rather than sooner, since I've been planning to finish my setup + change around my PC.

Watched the instructional video (presented by the baby-faced body builder ), and I think it's supposed to mold in the ears' bowl (dunno what it's called), not inside the canal. I'd imagine some extra noise insulation, but no where near the real custom IEMs, I think...

You can push some of it into the canal, but not much I don't think.  It won't be near custom ofc, but I'd imagine it's much better than the crappy rubber tips that come with them.

You know those earbuds that came with the original iPod?  I know you cannot put tips on them since they are solid plastic, but they fall out too.

I have many pairs of IEMs that came with phones or were given to me.

The IEMs always fall out...  whether I am at the gym or just walking around.  Any little tug and they pop out.  I try looping them around my ears but it doesn't work for long.

I will look at this comply foam, but what are these clips you guys mentioned?
