Titanfall running at 600p 46 fps on the xbox 360

Titanfall is Source engine, a flipping PS1 could run it at 1p with 8xmsaa.

Titanfall running at 600p, 46 fps on the Xbox 360

Derp.

Don't most games on Xbox 360 run at either 30 or 60 fps with standardized resolutions?

I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason and intellect has intended us to forgo their use, and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them. - Galileo Galilei

Best part of the article.

"Simply put: the Xbox 360's version of Titanfall is closer in resolution to the Xbox One than the Xbox One games with lower resolution are to the PS4."

I am so ready for Spike TV's "Microsoft Game On" presentation. Got my Doritos and Mountain Dew and watching footage from last years E3.

It may be fun and fashionable to jump on the bandwagon and bash the XboxOne; but in this case there is simply no point in comparing the resolution to that of the 360.

The 360 is running a much, much lighter version of Titanfall in terms of texture quality and lighting. It's much easier to render, and it looks a lot uglier.

Well there is no comparing a Xbox One to a 750Ti either and that GPU is a potato, that is way overpriced at that bracket (you have r9 280's 30 bucks away in the last few weeks on PC part picker) and only belongs in SFF Dell's that you can buy off craigslist for 100 bucks, drop it in and play Titanfall better than a Xbox One.

750Ti is a potato?

Highly overclockable...

Ok, let me break this down for you to understand.

GTX 750Ti is 10% away from a GTX 480 yet it has 2GB Vram.

This is my old highly clocked GTX 480 mincing a 660Ti.

The unigine valley thread is in the GPU section.

So that 750Ti has now turned into a GTX 580 with say a moderate OC?

Would you buy it over a 180-200 dollar r9 280?  That is my point. At the price point it is bad. Which 750ti is it? Is it 149 bucks or more? It only makes sense in SFF where you can't use a big PSU. I am looking at it from a new build perspective. You are looking at it from a "dude I got a Dell" perspective.

It means to turn beef into bits, well it mushes together to form mince.

It is certainly mincing, 3FPS in valley is a wide margin.

Perhaps potato was way too strong of a statement, when we have something like the Xbox One being called "next gen". 750 is "next next gen" compared to that thing. :)

they probably test what looks best and pick that one?

Tearing happens with constant 60+, it's not how tearing works.

tearing happens when the fps goes past the monitor/tv refresh rate, it doesnt need to be 60+, if the tv has a refresh rate of 30hertz tearing will happen with 46fps

Nice lol. Here is my favorite.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=forzaning

forzaning
When game companies present previews of their games in game events that show very good graphics, usually using high-end PCs, but when the final product is released, the graphics are poor. The term itself comes from the game Forza 5 for the XBox One that showed amazing overall graphics for the previews but used flat 2d photo cut-outs of people in the final product due to Xbox One hardware limitations.

"Wow that Xbox One game looked great in E3. Hopefully there won't be any forzaning when it finally releases."

Source could run on a toaster and still work.

Sounds like a challenge in fact...

I was actually thinking of modding my toaster with a Raspberry Pi, just so that I could go "my toaster can play 1080p video" and "my toaster can run X and Z and Z".

I wonder if the Raspberry Pi is powerful enough, and have had some Source game ported to it.

*streams 1080p ultra gameplay to toaster while making toast using Steam in-home streaming*

You don't even need the screen. Just plug your toaster into the TV and start gaming.

... That's a sentence I never thought I'd say. Once I get fiber I could probably get really low latency at my friends who also has fiber. With a bit of networking sorcery (a VPN) I could probably just bring my toaster as a LAN machine and stream games with in-home streaming from my desktop. I could also make toast if I get hungry in the middle of the night.

The more I think about it, the more sense it makes.

You missed my point. I merely said that the article is pointless because it is comparing the resolutions of XboxOne and the 360. Such comparisons are pointless unless they are rendering the same complexity. In this case the game looks completely different on the 360, so what's the point of talking about resolution.

I don't argue against the fact that PCs can be better still.
