So, this has one taken Microsoft 6-7 months to finally come up with the correct drivers to officially have Xbox one controller support for PC. Microsoft always saying that they care about PC gaming? I'm not to sure if I'm honest. The idea that they've not been able to produce drivers or support for 6 months is outrageous!

Microsoft told Kotaku in August of 2013 that it was planning to make the new controller PC-compatible some time in 2014. Since then, PC gamers have had to resort to unofficial means to use Microsoft's new controller.

In my personal opinion, I think what they've done is taken the unofficial driver and just changed small things and said it's theirs. But for all of you PC gamers who like to use the controller to game comfortably from your couch! Enjoy the new drivers.

Xbox Live's Major Nelson (Larry Hyrb) posted on his blog how it's used and he stated

The new PC drivers will enable the Xbox One controller to be used with any game that featured gamepad support for the Xbox 360 controller. Simply download the drivers, connect your Xbox One controller to your computer through a micro USB cable and you’ll be gaming in no time.

Which is a very positive! As it  means you don't need the adapter or the need of a wired controller anymore. Just connect the Micro USB cable to the controller, download the drivers and away you go!
