samsung ftw. get an 840 evo. not sure what the price is currently at but they were on sale a few weeks ago.

intel is op and the 840 pro only provides about 5% improvement which you probably will not notice.

Hi friends,

What SSD you suggest around 120GB range... is Kingston, Sandisk good. Or should I only go for Samsung and Intel...

It somewhat depends on your use case scenario and what you'd like from it. If your looking for value Samsung's EVO drive is still one of the best price to performance drives but more so starting at around 250 GB, Intel's drive are really focused heavily for durability and reliability, if your planning on doing huge read's and writes to the drive like in editing and just hammering it, then the Intel 730 or older 530 series are really meant for that.

Get whichever decent ssd is cheapest or has the features you want. There's little to no noticeable difference between decent modern ssds atm for everyday usage.

Avoid KINGSTON at all cost http://www.anandtech.com/show/7763/an-update-to-kingston-ssdnow-v300-a-switch-to-slower-micron-nand

and everything sandforce based.

m500, m550, mx100, adata sp920 are all good drives.
