Not at all, you won't gain any sort of noticeable performance. Do you want to use your PC for gaming? You should definitely upgrade your GPU.

Welcome to the forum BTW!

Don't upgrade to a 3570k, that platform is dead. I would wait and upgrade to a 4690k or Broadwell in the future. The 2500 actually is still a decent chip for gaming.

I don't think he does much gaming on that G210 :D

I have a i5 2500k with stock clock and it is doing just fine. There was hardly any difference with the new generations apart from them being more efficient (take less power to do the same thing) and ever so slightly faster.

Don't upgrade to a 3570k, that platform is dead.

The platform is dead in the since of not being able to upgrade to Haswell, but the platform it's self is not dead, as it still performs very well in today's PC environment.

your graphics card is what sucks mate. the 2500 is still quite decent. the gts 210 is a relic and was bad on release.

also promoting a tech website on a tech site and not knowing much about tech isn't really promising. just saying, it's kind of a low blow. Sorry just kind of annoying seeing a link to a tech forum on a tech forum while the owner of said linked forum is asking questions on the tech forum he is advertising on.

I wouldn't say the geforce 210 is bad, it's not really for gaming or for video/image work, it's mainly a decent card for everyday tasks like web surfing, office work, but thats about it.    It's not a bad card just good enough for everyday tasks and it was also released almost 6 years ago but I don't know anyone still using a 200 series card today, know a few still using the 8000 most notably 8800gt.

yeah, I got 2x 210s at my parents home for their computers, but why would you pair that with a 2500? the 2500 has onboard graphics on par with a 210 for everyday tasks. so I find it meaningless. (which is why I figured he got it for other purposes?)

By the way, I still have 9500 GT in my closet haha, it was the first and only computer component my dad has ever bought me. My dad was totally against computers when I just started so that 9500 is like a recognition letter from my dad. it holds a lot of sentimental value.
