Hi, I seem to be getting low fps in hell divers. It starts high 120+ when the mission begins but slowly falls as the mission progresses (40 ish mins). By the end i’m only at 45-55 fps which of course isn’t ideal.

To begin the gpu usage is maxed out but it slowly decreases across the mission, being at about 60% utilisation towards the end.

This suggests cpu bottleneck but that’s only at about 60-70% utilisation and draws about 70-75w. Any help to improve this would be greatly appreciated.

Temps are below 65 degrees for both gpu and cpu

1440p near max settings

Specs:

9070xt

12600kf

msi pro b660m-g

2x 16gb ddr4 3200mhz

2tb nvme

txm 750w

Thank you 🙂

I've not noticed this behaviour when I was playing the game last week but its worth stressing that this game is extremely CPU heavy, especially when there are lots of enemies spawning and corpses flying around the map.

On my rig at home, I'm running between 70/80fps on the "ultra" preset at a native 3440x1440, I am on a 13600k and 4070 Super so I would of thought you would be getting a better experience.

In terms of fixing your issue, I would try the games recommended graphics presets, as even the "ultra" preset is not maxed out, also I have seen people turn on Async Compute (towards the bottom of the graphics menu) and it can drastically improve performance, but your mileage may vary as I didn't see any difference on my rig.

I’ll try the preset out, thank you.

I did try Async compute but found it reduced performance for me

I have also experienced this issue on occasion (7800x3D, RTX4080, 2x16GB DDR5; 4k HDR typically gets 90-120fps with the render turned down to "ultra quality" instead of native)

Typically a full system reboot fixes it, and it doesn't happen again for a while. I partially wonder if it has something to do with my RAM how "little"  have, given I'll leave programs like F@H, discord and others open in the background.
