Best 5090 variant.

For those who have one, what would you say is the best 5090 variant. I'm looking for one that doesn't have a second piece to it, and isn't 3 slots.

Regardless, the best variant of a card is the one you can afford 99.9% of the time

.... So a normal 5090

No normal card has a waterblock cause the normal ones arent watercooled ... they are air cooled aka they use air threw their fans

The one you can afford

Find a 5090 you are can to buy and get it or better yet wait a few months after the prices settles and then scout the market for smt more specific

Rn espcecially for Nvidia cards the most effective advise is "dont buy" cause they are scalped to high heaven

So I guess I'm going with the FE for the 4th time in a row, since none of the other ones look good.

Of course, I'm not going to get it right away I'm going to wait for all the scalper, melting connectors, and losing ROPS stuff to be gone. Before I would buy.

MSRP is supposed to be $2K so low tier AIB cards should be $2.2 to 2.4K

Anything more expensive is just not worth it, current prices make 0 sense

But especially for nvidia the should be is never the is

4090 was 1600 msrp and settled for a lil over 2K at around 2100 to 2250 ish

I personally dont see the 5090 settling under 2.4k at the lowest but boy would I be glad to be wrong on that one

You say you see a 4090ti when you look at a 5090 but for someone who has never had a pc before I see a major upgrade, but I guess it depends on context

Finding a non 3 slot 5090 outside of the Founders Edition is tough.
TechTesters did a 8x 5090 roundup so you can have some idea of how the different AIB cards function.

Why not get a fantastic mid-upper range machine that does everything you need, for a much cheaper?

Well, I don't know anything about computers, so I don't know which will or won't work. I just assume that if I got the best then I would know it will work

What do you mean it will work?  As in it may not even function?  Or it won't do the job properly?
