Try using Dark Reader extension. You can customize each website you visit with it. I never turn it off unless a specific website doesn't show certain assets. For example, job application sites usually don't show text boxes for some reason, so I turn it off for those specific sites.

I am talking about Video Styler, it can change the brightness/contrast/saturation of videos.

Yes, I know what it does. You know how the addon background is white, can I change it to black? The fonts & sliders are way to hard to see on a white background.

It's doesn't seem to be possible. I've looked a bit into it and the extension just opens an .html file in a popup.

The styling of that popup is defined in the popup.css file.

The extension itself is housed in an .xpi file, which is just a modified .zip folder

If you rename the file extension into .zip, you can see all the contents.

image.png.5d95c62366fdfccab0c4c05d5fefac4d.png

The popup.css file is just a long line of stylings.

image.thumb.png.8aef1d1d4dcff76a11af4160c33c3035.png

Changing the colors, placing the modified popup.css file into the folder, zipping it and turning it back into an .xpi file causes Firefox to block the add-on because it's now no longer identical with the signed version from the Mozilla add-ons page.

So your best bet is to just write to the original author of the add-on and ask them if they can update it to allow customizable color schemes.

.... until now....  that's the problem...

chrome works well enough but once they break adblockers like ublock origin it'll be hell...

Yeah, but I sold my soul to them in '07 and there's really no going back. uBlock plus pihole plus VPN has stood me in good stead for a while now.
