hi guys (sort of repost but not, shorter)

so 

1. im thinking of using 14.6 is it stable?

2. does it matter not removing old drivers?

3. can i ever get a blank screen if it fails

and thats it PLEASE post i really want mantle but dont want to mess up my system

2. No, the new ones should install over the old ones

3. If something goes wrong it will not use the new driver and stick with what is already installed

Try it and find out and regarding old drivers it is always best to remove them completely, there used to be an AMD Driver Clean Utility which I'm not able to find now for some reason.

 

I'm not sure what it'll do if it fails but if that does happen then there is always safe mode.

also by stable i meant it quite stable obviously ton 100%

the 14.4 release drivers are stable and already support your 280x in mantel. that being said the 14.6 drivers aren't rock solid but should be pretty stable especially if you are using it for mainstream games at a common resolution.

ive saw people saying the 14.4 is causing alot of bsods

BETA drivers should be relatively stable otherwise AMD wouldn't put then into circulation.

yes, i had to launch off battlelog instead, my r9 280x in shanghai in a moderate load scene sill cant pull 40FPS!

nope I have't, on holiday atm, the phone is serving as my laptops router

 

I'd reformat windows at this point tbh.
