What classifies as "fast" for you? I know that there are some people on this forum who would kill for 30/30, and there are other who seem gigabit symmetrical to not be fast enough.

Is it new construction (after 2000), old construction (pre 1950), or something in between, concrete/plaster or drywall?

The further you are from the router the more the speed will lessen. The router and device will negotiate a lower speed to keep the connection more stable. Secondly higher bands like 5 and 6 Ghz will give you faster speeds, BUT they have less range and penetration power.

Dense materials like concrete and brick will cause issues for the WiFi signal. You also have to consider that other WiFi networks use the same frequencies are yours. So there is a possibility to get interference from your neighbors if they are close enough. Generally you will see this on the 2.4 Ghz band, but if your close enough you can see it on the 5 Ghz band as well. Other devices also use the WIFi spectrum, so keep that in mind.

You also need to define what's consider slow? Also what speeds are you paying for? What kind of internet do you have?

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Im not sure exactly when my house was built but after a quick google search around 1930-1949 I would want about 150+ mbs down and like 50+ on upload my budget is around 100-150

NO it should be 500mbps wireless and it says guaranteed 425 in every room as it states on there website and on the information that was in the box

That’s not how WiFi works. No ISP guarantees WiFi speeds.  WiFi is unreliable and unpredictable.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

they can guarantee when I pay extra to get guarantee speeds in every room in my house

Then talk to them?

The other posts are correct, and I’ll second those opinions. Wi-Fi is highly environmentally dependent.
