Checkout HWBot.org. That's where a lot of overclockers submit their scores.

i don't think so. money helps to a point, but you need dedication and skill as well. its a bit like f1, you can have as much money as you like but it doesn't make you a better driver.

"Skill". Overclocking doesnt come down to skills but more to knowledge. Sure experience effects your knowledge a bit and you will learn from your mistakes. A engineer that designs motherboards from the ground up will own any clocker you see on hwbot. Most overclockers these days think they are pro when in reality theyre just vcore bumpers and most of them cant even solder. Overclocking used to be something hard back in the days with the FSB, finding out which voltage had to be bumped and not only the vcore. Whats it now these days? Bump vcore, bump vcore, when you can't boot into windows with suicide volts even enable pll overvoltage (mostly needed for 4.9GHz), bump again and again. If you google sandy bridge bsod codes its for all codes "bump vcore".

you better let hwbot know because they dont seem to have twigged on that its so easy to buy all the 4770k and get one to 6ghz on ln2 while trying not to freeze your ram which has a cold bug 80c hotter than your cpu while your running an r7 250 with 3 different external power boards that need 3 psu's to power them. ;)

GPUs aren't as fun to OC as CPUs are to me.

u make me feel warm and fuzzy

@Jumper118 yeah, finding bios for overvolting is a pain sometimes, and a bit hectic to figure out what on earth you're supposed to do afterwards, especially if it comes with an overvolting "tool" lol

Once I figured out where to get the bios and how to install them it's not really different than normal OC'ing though.  Plus it kinda sucks you need a non reference card with beefy power deliver to push more than 1.35-1.4 safely :/
