What's the difference with deshrouding and slapping a better fan on the heatsink ?

you can do that too but not all are easy to dissemble or some have tabs that wont allow to add a fan to it. this is also wider to accommodate the 120mm fan and im guessing its height is reduced.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx

also i edit post alot because you no why...

also the new video linus did. puting a pc in a box? no one would even think that, let alone think it can be done and it did work.

Actually, that's not a new idea. Others have done it, and other containers - or none - have been used.

The challenges that I see with your design in your initial message is lack of enough thermal dissipation mass, not enough fins, finds that are too thick, and a lack of a medium to carry the heat away (air, vacuum, very thin oil or water).

If you look at the existing passive coolers, they are either very large with ample space between thin fins and/or they have an efficacious system for moving the heat away from the source. Noctua has both varieties. Neither can handle a high-heat processor without other devices helping (i.e. fans). The new one uses liquid to move the heat to a radiator, making it more compatible with smaller systems,  but it still can't cool the hottest processors.

There are always trade-offs between noise and performance.  The quieter something like a fan is almost always equates to lower performance. Sure, you can figure out a better design but there is a strong relationship between dimensions, blade design,  RPM and results, with RPM and dimensions being more important unless you are working on a scale that isn't practical for computers... unless you don't mind it looking like a hotrod. 😉

You could try using some sort of mechanism to carry the heat out of the case, like pipes to an array or coil like the copper one with heatsink in an A/C.

What do you think your half-assed idea is gonna cool?

There is no reason to be rude, bro.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

you still have to dissasemble the card to add a morpheus

ya but you dont have to take the oem cooler apart...

also its designed for 120mm fans as most gpud are like 90mm maybe 100mm.

it could also be less tall but wider getting more clearance. if you have a tall gpu and add a 25mm fan on top it can be tall in some case. would i buy it probly not. but i guess people do thats why its around.

no one seems to understand the reason behind my idea

its not "slap a loud fan on it and call it a day"
its not "oh just put it in a different room and run the fans on max"
its not "oh theres already a massive case thats worth 500$ to passivly cool your pc that can hardly fit on your desk or below it"

the reason behind this is that it can be cheaper,
works with any gpu granted if it has a water block available

and fits a standard full tower or even micro atx towers

buy a water block for 100-200 dollars, 30$ on heat pipes and another 30$ on a pre made aluminium heat sink thats segnificantly cheaper than the 750$ monsterlabo the beast or a pre built pc that cant be upgraded
