Hey all, I'm going to be recording, importing, editing, rendering, and uploading videos of counter-strike game play. I'd like to know which software is recommended (price isn't an object ). Things I'd like to be taken in to account are ease of use, intuitive user interface, and feature rich.

The programs I'm aware of already are Vegas Pro 13, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.

If there is a reason to use multiple different software, explain why that might be an which software combination you believe to be the best.

Thanks for your time :)

After Effects is good for making any sort of effects within a certain project, like gun shots if doing a gun battle scene, blood on the screen etc... it's also good at making intros and outros. As far as Final Cut Pro I have never used it so I do not know. I personally use Sony Vegas for my renderings and it's very simple to understand and use as well as many tutorials online for just about anything that you might want to know about.

Alright, so using after effects to do intros and outros, while using Sony Vegas to do the editing of the actual footage?

Sony Vegas is really good for starters. After effects is mostly for detailed work and intros. Premier pro is also nice, but the sound track blending is much more intuitive in Vegas. Check this deal out: http://linustechtips.com/main/store/product/84-sony-vegas-100-no-disc-just-serial/ from linus himself! :D

Thanks for the help, looks like this is what I'll roll with. I've already got prior experience to SVP as well.

I use Adobe Premier CS6, It does take a little getting used to it but I find work flow quite easy in it.

There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just some helpful stuff: You're - You are, Your - Your car, They're - They are, Their - Their car, There - Over there.
