So after watching the kids react to old computers video, this came up as a video to watch. I was surprised that so many of them knew what it was, but then again, AOT is pretty darn popular right now.

-monogatari (SHAFT in general) series would melt brains

monogatari is hard to watch lol, at least watching it online or from your computer you can pause it to see something, but when it's live on tv and has a random text, symbol,etc flash on and goes back to the show, flashes another symbol, goes back to the show there's no way to tell what's going on.

I like it though.

 

Not sure about "SHAFT" though and what you're referencing there.

I haven't jumped on the AOT bandwaggon yet. I still have too many older forgotten relics to finish. so many anime so little time, I will probably start watching once everyone's already forgotten about it.

Adult Swim and whatnot - it's easier for westerners to get into a show that ditches Japanese culture or school setting. I got to episode 11 before I was bored with AoT, but I love shows like Monogatari that would never have a chance with a western audience.

Well, they left season 1 on a cliff hangar and the anime is too popular for them NOT to do a season 2. They haven't announced anything yet, but there will more than likely be a season 2.

Another season is already lined up, not surprisingly with how popular it was in Japan and here. 

 

No date on season 2 predictions are that it'll come around 2015, because the manga content is only so far at the moment.

They're the parent studio and have other works with quick cuts and an overwhelming amount of things going on in the screen at the same time.

Half of the entire episode has two separate dialogues, with fast cutting and paragraphs of text shown for <1 sec. Madoka has this a bit as well, while the word choice and language is more difficult, it's not as bad.

The sad thing is that people have been telling me to watch madoka.....and the fact that the same studio produces it might make me watch it.
