I am curious as to how hard it would be to make a water cooling loop that could effectvily cool a cpu, lets say a i7 4770k at 4.2Ghz, and a couple gpus lets say those are 2 R9280Xs base clocks, at  below 0 degrees celcius or close to it? Thinking about I assume you would need a cold room to start? Maybe not if the radiator capacity was enormous, Just give me your insite on the topic please, I am planing on doing this anytime soon but hey its nice to plan for the future even if it may not happen right?

Aw, you said water cooling. I was about to recommend LN2.

Are we talking under load?

probably easier to obtain that idling.

LN2 is expnsive though haha, and hard to work with in my living room.

well here is the issue, there is something called the real world and physics making what you want impossible unless your room is BELOW 0... that or you use liquid nitrogen instead of water...

I was thinking this would come into play... what if the room was close to 10 degrees, would the fans be able to move enough air to create an even colder enviroment?

no the air is still the air temp unless you cool the air using something such as a freezer or AC that cools well below 0

(Probably) not happening. You'd have to run the loop in a room well under the freezing temperature of water.

No. Cooling works by using the difference in temperature to draw heat from the coolant into the air. The system will always stay warmer than the air you're cooling it with.

Yeah, this is slightly saddening, I guess that answers it though. :/

However hard you try ~ you will not achieve lower than 0 without actively cooling(hint: refrigeration) or using sub zero coolants such as LN2... and condensation will fry your PC faster than you can check your temperatures :)

Hmm, can you futher explain a refridgeration method?

run the rads and fans inside a freezer, since moisture doesnt matter there but its where it cools, so in that way you could cool it well below room temp

That seems a little like a waste, the coolant would probably freeze too....

but you'd still have to use something other than water since it'll start freezing at 0°C

maybe mix vodka into it :D

I tihnk i'd just drink the vodka and hope for the best haha but I like the creativity.

if you dont turn off the computer it will move so fast that it cant freeze, but yes, best add some anti freeze to it :)

I can get that from work so I am set there.

Get a couple of heat exchangers (peltiers) and mod them into the GPUs- That is a very plausible sub 0 cooling. Which you will pay on power bills (man that thing eats watts like crazy)-.

Sounds like something my wallet doesn't want to endure...
