@Moredeath Sorry I didn't specify I forgot. I just barely started running Prime95 and these are my temps. The package went up to 72 and the temp in temperatures CPU is 63

Yeah you're fine under 100% load. It's an artificial benchmark, you wont come close in real world

@Moredeath Alright thanks. I feel better now. Do you think these are normal temps with a Hyper 212 evo? Or should I be getting better?

I'd check to see if you mounted correctly and have enough thermal paste. But overclocked FX CPUs generally run pretty hot, like Haswell CPUs

@Moredeath I used the whole tube of thermal that Cooler Master supplied as for mounting I hope it's on right. I had my dad help me with that. Maybe in the future I will apply some Mx-4 or something but if 72 is fine at an artificial 100 percent load then I will just leave it.

@nj4ck lol 90 seems a bit excessive but under load at 72 seems okay now I guess. I just don't want to degrade the life of my cpu as I don't have a job or money for a new one :P

@nj4ck well that could be an issue :P we used the spreading method if that makes a difference.

well, eeerm.... does your CPU look like this?

Features_Thermal-Paste-System-Builder.jp

if so, I'd definitely recommend redoing that. just a small blob of paste in the middle of the CPU, the pressure from the cooler spreads it out.

@nj4ck no when we applied pressure a little bit came out of the sides and we wiped it off with a paper towel.

no, no, no, nope, NOPEEEEEEE

Buy a new tube online, drop your OC, try again later when you get your tube.

70c is thermal limit for 6300.

Pea or pea cross is how do to this properly.

Also don't do that pre-spreading nonsense.

Watch this if I don't seem credible.
