Can a 240mm AIO cool a Ryzen 7 7700X, and if so, which ones will likely do the job?

the only coolers that fit the case i want are 240mm aios and low profile air coolers which im certain would throttle. thats why im asking about the 240mm aio

if that's the case sure, the 240mm is probably enough,

Im trying to cool a 7700X and was wondering if a 240mm AIO would handle it. I know a tower air cooler or a 280mm would do a better job, but im just curious if a 240 CAN?

Or just get either of these and don't worry about having water in your PC?

7700x when tuned could use even weaker coolers probably, if we're just gaming like AG400

Yup, I had an msi one in my truenas server for a while (swapped for tower cooler just to be safer in the end), I'd look into deepcool, I'm using there's in my main rig and it's way better than the msi one ever was..

Take a look at the Endorfy Navis F, Arctic Liquid Freezer 3, SilverStone IceMyst, Thermalright Frozen Notte & Frozen Magic Scenic V2, DeepCool LS/LT & Mystique,  Lian Li Galahad 2 Trinity Performance, and, well, many others.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂
