“ “devmgmt.msc” is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. “

(Windows 11) I’m trying to set up my pc I just built, I got to the sign in screen and for some reason my pc can’t see my WiFi network, I tried going to the device manager but it doesn’t recognize devmgmt.msc as a command, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

It could be a corrupted windows install try reinstalling the OS or running the command "sfc /SCANNOW" and then "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" in cmd as admin.

So that means you opened Run, typed "devmgmt.msc" and hit enter?
Does the outcome change if you just open it from the Start menu?

If you're at the sign-in screen and not actually on the desktop yet, you won't be able to access most of Windows' utilities. Sounds like that might be the case.

I just checked and if run it through the win r dialogue it won’t run you have to type device manager in the start menu to open it.
