Did I bend a pin?

Was putting in my CPU and I'm 99% sure I touched a pin. I can't see anything bent but im paranoid. If I tell them the pins arrived broken will they fix it

Does it not work? Why are you so worried?

From what I've observed with experimenting with pins within LGA sockets, touching them by themselves won't cause any issues. The pins have a bit of springiness within them, which makes sense because you'll have tremendous pressure being applied when the CPU is installed, and you want the pins to go back to where they were originally when the CPU is removed to ensure proper electrical connections are being made next time you populate the socket.

So in other words, the socket is totally fine based on that alone - if oils from your skin is sitting on the pin, that could cause electrical issues, but I find that to be unlikely.
