I want someone who knows Antec PSU's to confirm but a quick look online categorises the "Value power" line as one to avoid, if not a bomb.

For $50 it's worth getting something like this. I'd still spend $50 on a new PSU cause whatever you got is likely a ticking time bomb that will take the rest of your $550 investment along itself when it goes:

Nah, people get paranoid about PSU but the PSU is rarely faulty when a PC fails

At worst it'll kill itself and you have to replace it

Plus your rig won't need much power anyway

How old is it ?

gpu wise id look for a used 5700(xt) / 6600(xt), otherwise theres the 5600xt 2070s 2060s and if those are still too expensive theres used rx 570/580 8gb

full list of existing parts?

^^^

vp650 is a 600w unit due to 12v = 50a = 600w so not the best quality wise but id deem it acceptable just by that metric alone

i do reccomend looking for reviews to make sure of its quality but i doubt youll see even one report of psu failiure let alone catastrophic failiure and even if there are failed psus probably because theyre lemons that somehow managed to live for awhile but below psu expected lifespan (10-15 years)
