Anyone know why orange became the color of LTT?

You mix NCIX blue to NCIX yellow and not pick it? From early videos, looks like it has been there from some old NCIX Tech Tips wall plainting to first logo. Ofc not same shade, but still. Probably favorite color or something like that.

If I remember correctly, it's the colour of a snap-on (maybe megapro) screwdriver he used to use as his go to. I think he mentioned it in a video a few years ago.

 

I tried to find a screenshot, but that's entirely buried under photos of their current screwdriver.

Yup, he used to use a Snap-On ratcheting driver. I believe it was a model SSDMR4BO with the classic "unscrew the cap and dump all the loose bits out" bit storage technology.

 

IIRC it somehow broke a few years ago, and that was the genesis of the LTT Screwdriver.

It has something to do with his Linus' links to William The Silent and by extension, Tiburge, Countess of Orange (Tiburge d'Orange)  etc and through various ancestries to William Prince of Orange, Queen Anne, The Dutch Republic and, of course, Protestantism. A fitting of discussion given St Patrick's Day and the Wearing of the Green is shortly upon us.
