What settings? also is the CPU usage again at 100%?

aah i understand now! thanks for explaining

i tried using both slots but same outcome

Have you set the PCIe slot width to the highest it can be? PCIe 3

Should be that as stock though

@Agall

Any ideas?

keep it in the top slot but should be fine

you could try doing a CMOS reset

try contacting Gigabyte support because I'm stumped

GPU-Z while having a game in the background will show PCIe version, from a previous entry, it looked like it was running at PCIe 3.0 16x, but GPU-Z is a bit more definitive with a game in the background.

Have you tried using a standard 2x8pin VGA connector with the included adapter? I'm assuming you're running a 1:1 12VHPWR connector currently, which I've seen weird bugs with myself.

Is the CPU usage 100% from the application alone? If you sort by CPU in Task Manager, it'll show what's using CPU threads. If you're at 100% without the boost clock being upwards of 5GHz (shown in the Performance section) then there's a simple boosting issue with those applications.

If you're boosting to 5GHz and still at 100% CPU utilization while having sufficient R23 scores, then there's something messed up software wise with the scheduler or some sort of malware. If the application is taking up a majority of that usage, being your game is >50% alone, then that just simply doesn't make sense for a 10900f sufficiently boosting.

I personally think it's the motherboard. What's CPU power like in game while it's at 100%?

so no right now i am playing a game and the cpu is like 50% and the gpu is 13%

if i close evrything it just go to normal standards the cpu

i am not sure what all these 5ghz means i am sorry!

It's really hard to diagnose without proper data

If the GPU-Z data in your pic is while gaming, it's clearly not powered enough (max TBP 50W..)

Pls send pics of your rig, esp. GPU and CPU power connectors

Check in GPU Z the PCie gen and lanes (Rebar is mostly a gadget)

What @PDifolco was asking for is in the first window of GPU-Z that shows up right after you run the software

It is dynamic though, so open GPU-Z, then run a game, then take a screenshot of the GPU-Z while the game is running on background

Example :

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

Ok so it's running correctly lane wise, PCie Gen3 x16, your CPU is Gen3

Need to see power consumption at full load (GPU Z monitoring while gaming), suspect GPU Is power starved for an unknown reason and runs only on PCIe slot pwoer (75W ..)

Badly connected cable ?

Try to disconnect/reconnect fully the GPU power cable
Could also try using the ugly 3 to 1 12pin adapter and use x2 PCie 8pin power cables and see what's give

Video res is crap, can't really read anything even on a big monitor , but I can guess TBP is 45W, so card has no power from the PSU

Try the alternative 2x PCie cables with adapter

Did you try the GPU on another rig (not sure if it has been said in the 3 previous pages..) ?

eithewr the card has no power or something softawre stops the card to receive the power

we can disclose some things

1 its not the gpu ( it worked on other devices fine!)

2 its not the powersupply ( new out the box and same result as with older powersdupply)

3 cpu seems working good wwith good temperture

what might be wrong is just 1 thing and its the motherboard either broken or just software not good!
