What games specifically?

This is 100% a software issue, the power supply will have nothing to do with it.

Also use HWInfo64 for monitoring the usage statistics. HWMonitor is known to give false readings fairly regularly, especially on modern hardware (more on Ryzen than Intel, but it still does on Intel), and should be avoided if possible.

Oh yeah CPU usage can be low because if game only uses 2 threads from single core and the CPU has 20 threads, then that's a small portion of the CPU.

high usage on either component can just mean the game is that more demanding for one piece of hardware than the other,

is the fps/performance good or not? that's really the main concern, usages can mean absolutely nothing if the PC is crunching approximately the amount of fps it's supposed to crunch

check out the HwInfo64, it can check some of the things HwMonitor doesn't really do

when you open HWInfo64 you have to open the sensors only to see the metrics. Then it'll be on a table showing CPU usage, temps and the rest

have you got any other CPU or GPU to use? It's unlikely it's a CPU bottleneck since that's still a decent CPU

(4070 ti is better than a 3090/Ti but they're quite close in performance)

image.thumb.png.0138e89c726009ddc5f6cc99ab08661e.png

even in CPU intensive games it doesn't bottleneck it that much

Was the CPU pegged at 100% in game all the time?

there should've been something in the manual saying to install your chipset drivers in the motherboard box (and a CD with them on it, might also be a website or USB if it's a really high end board)

ill try to disable

i tried putting a 1080 in and it did the same! it was same fps very low and also did not work fully

i dont have a other cpu

I'm thinking, could bios somehow cause an issue like that or not likely?

check your PCIe lane width for SSD and GPU in bios. Should be somewhere around PCIe device settings in advanced

was it around the same fps as with the 4070 ti? Was the CPU usage at 100% as well?

What're you using to cool the CPU?

1 minute ago, podkall said:

maybe if they're on a beta one

@Hylkedu try updating to a previous bios (but not from too long ago) that isn't beta if yours is. Even if your bios isn't beta I'd try it anyway

Also try reseating your CPU, RAM, Motherboard and all power connectors
