Remove ads on twitch

I just created an account to ask this

 

dont tell me to go to floatplane or subscribe to a paid thing, some people can't afford to pay

 

what I hate with the ads, it doesnt stop the stream while it play, we lose what was said while ads play. this is the worst

 

right now, i just go to youtube once the exclusive part is over or ads get played

 

anyway, thanks for reading my rant or whatever this is

it's just the nature of twitch as a platform, i dislike it as much as you do, but even grabbing the actual livestream data and pulling it out the page that also serves the ads doesnt always work.

If running ads is a decision by LMG and not mandated by Twitch, I genuinely don't understand the point of trying to monetize the 2000-3000 people over there once per week. It's not even like Twitch CPMs are that good that LMG is trying to milk these 2000-3000 people.

I don’t think there is a way unfortunately, the only way to remove ads for free is by subscribing with Amazon prime. Though prime you have to pay for so yea, not really free. Twitch has to many ads tho so I feel your pain.

Twitch isn't profitable even with ads and prime. My guess is that in the coming years they are going to have to hike prices, take the promoting gambling approach like kick does, or cease to exist.

True, amazed the platform has lasted as long as it has. Granted it is backed by Amazon so that’s why. Because of this I am not usually surprised when you hear stuff about twitch allowing more “controversial” things or running more ads.
