Budget (including currency): Will upgrade gradually but I guess the end budget would be around £2000

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Tekken 8, World of Warcraft, League of Legends.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I haven't upgraded my PC in a long time and I haven't kept up with any news for this kind of stuff either. I would like to know which components I should look to upgrade first.

Current build is

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti

Motherboard: ASUS Z170-A

RAM: Corsair Vengence 16GB 4x4gb DDR4-2400MHz

PSU: Corsair CV650

Case: NZXT Phantom from 2010

Hi buddy,

Yeh, as @filpo suggested, all of it could do with being changed.

Your 6700k and 980ti are both well overdue for an overhaul so its a perfect time to start from scratch. You could argue that the 6700k has a little life in it yet and you could 'brute-force' some games into submission with a 40xx series GPU and get some pretty high average fps numbers but your 1% and 0.1% lows will be horrific and might spoil the otherwise silky smooth experience.
