Corsair CX 430M

Shadow Gamer

Does anyone have any experience or important facts about the Corsair CX 430M? I'm using it in my current build, and I want to learn more about that whole "channelwell's making corsair's PSU's" thing and downsides and upsides to it so I know to upgrade or not in the future.

I am not sure on the technical specs of the components of the PSU but I used it in my dads build and it has lasted about a year of 24/7 operation with no problems (My dads system is a A8 6600K and a GTX 650ti). Plus it is modular so you don't need to have all the cables connected at once. But from my experience it is a great quality budget-oriented PSU from a reputable brand.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

It's a great budget PSU as long as it provides enough wattage for you.

It provides over 2x the wattage my computer uses at full load.

I love mine. Works great, and I've never had any problems with it, other than my fan being a little noisy because it's been on for close to a year.

It's a great budget PSU as long as it provides enough wattage for you. Also, the fan grill looks boss on a case fan.

Yes it does. Looks sexy as hell.

I use the CX 500M and it works fine. It's quiet as well.

No need for an entry level PSU to have such high grade components. It has all what you need and it won't blow up.

80Plus Bronze efficiency is adequate for a budget unit. The 3 year warranty is fine given it's a budget unit. To be honest it's a little expensive for a budget unit, but it is 80Plus Bronze and semi-modular so nbd. Internally it seems they use a Panasonic primary capacitor and Capxon secondaries, which is disappointing on more expensive units like the Corsair RM series but seems about right on a budget line like this. The unit is fine. Not the best out there, but it isn't one of those cheapo chinese ones you want to avoid like the plague by a long stretch.
