Has a bad psu damaged your PC?

Go to solution Solved by Average Nerd,

One of my rigs killed 2 PSUs (they would randomly go unstable and chrash the computer), and it's still alive on its 3rd power supply.

Personally, all my PSU's were low-mid tier. Aside from needing a new fan after 8 years. None have ever failed.
I've seen a few generic power supplies fail when I worked in tech support but it never hurt the the PC.
I've never known anyone who's had a bad psu damage other components. I'm sure it has happens, I suspect the odds are under 0.001%

I'm curious if this has happened to anyone out there?

English is not my first language, so please excuse any confusion or misunderstandings on my end.

I like to edit my posts a lot.

Never had a PSU fail in 25 years of building systems.  I have only bought expensive high quality PSU's though.

Only thing that has failed for me over 25 years was my GTX 260 while playing WoW. VRAM died.

Thats it.
