when the board is on the box. did you try to short circuit the power_SW pins on the board short to boot it? you say you used the power_SW connector from the case.. it can be defect too.. use a screwdriver and usually it's on the top row at the IO cluster from left pin 3 and 4.. read your manual to be sure. a power switch basicaly short those 2 pins to boot when it's pressed in. so you can do it with a screwdriver too.

those be-quiet PSUs have a 24 pin cable ... with an additional 8 pin

and yeah idk if that is a new thing but oh well

 

put all the cables on and its all fine
