Pc won’t turn off, no display, and fans at max speed. Won’t turn off even holding power button

Go to solution Solved by da na,

Seems like something isn't seated correctly - this most frequently happens with RAM.

Take all your RAM out, and carefully put it all back in, making sure each stick clicks on both sides.

If the issue still persists, do the same with your GPU and any other PCI-e cards.

So I was cleaning my pc (what I do every 6 months) and after cleaning my fans and everything I went and plugged it back in and it won’t get any display, so I wanted to turn it off by power button and when I hold it in it blinks and it’s running at max fan speed.

(It’s not the cable and I didn’t plug it in the motherboard)

Do you mean it doesn't turn on? Because otherwise you could simply pull the plug to turn it off.

Usually a sign of RAM related problems. Pull one DIMM out and see what happens.
