Moderation has ruled that sharing content made with AI is mainly Off Topic. If you want to chat about using the technology, other subforums are fine. For tinkering or developing, Programming is probably best suited.

With all the excitement around AI and doing stuff with AI, I think it deserves its own category on the forum.

Excitement doesn't equate need. Same could be said in the past about VR, AR, etc... Lots of technology generates excitement, but ultimately just end up going the way of FOTM. 99% of the AI related content here is people trying to pass off chatGPT answers as there own. Actual users of real AI driven needs aren't coming to the LTT forum for help/topics.

I hardly even see an AI thread every other week and I am pretty much here 24/7.

Oh it may infact stay, as I firmly believe it's a necessary and unavoidable evolution of the human existence.  We ARE going to create sentient machines.
