Identify this screw / nut / bolt

I'm thinking of cleaning inside my wheels but I have no clue what kind of screw or whatever it is to take apart. Does anyone know?

Casters generally aren't made to be serviceable unless they're on shopping carts.

You can try to clean the wheels without disassembly, as others have noted, it doesn't look like your casters are user serviceable. Casters are so inexpensive that generally they're designed to just be replaced.

 

Question: Is there a reason why you want to clean them? Are they making noise or suffering from performance issues, or is this merely preventative?

Agree with others, that's a Rivet.

 

And same question as @dalekphalm because in the pics the caster looks plenty clean to me.

If you want to remove it, you'll need to cut/drill/grind the head off the rivet, then you can simply replace it with a bolt and nut. Fairly simple procedure, IF you have the tools.

What does the other side look like?

 

It does look like a rivet, but depending what the other side looks like I could also see it being a press fit bolt...if you are lucky and it is that then you might be able to just use a flat head and pry it off (but would really need to make sure it's that instead of a rivet).  Would need better pictures of both sides of the wheel
