Scarlett solo 4th gen getting quite at random

Alright so I just got the solo 4th gen it will be working perfectly fine with no issues but then it just gets really quiet like I'm still close to my mic and it just so much quieter that all my friends in Discord can't hear me any help would be appreciated if it helps I am using an audio technica at2020 as my mic
