Using a psu to supply a Chromebook

I am looking to put my old Chromebook into a PC case once I get a new laptop, and want to strip it of it's case and then put a heat sink on it to cool it more than any other Chromebook. I want to put a hub onto the the power USB c port so that I can power it and use the port for data. But, I don't want to use the external power supply, because I want to connect a hard drive and would need the SATA power to power it, and the stock chargers get supper hot. Any one know of any adapters that would be of use?

Why?
